  • In-app spending controls

Availability, features, fees and eligibility vary by plan and location. Verify the current official terms before you sign up.

The everyday account with a travel side

Revolut Personal combines app-based spending controls, currency exchange and cards. It may suit people who pay in different currencies, travel regularly or want clearer visibility of everyday spending. Available services depend on residency, account entity and subscription plan. It is not a guarantee of cheaper banking for every transaction.

Revolut’s official site describes holding multiple currencies, spending abroad and creating virtual cards. Always select your country on the provider’s website: a feature advertised in the United Kingdom may not have identical terms in another market. Some services are bank accounts while others are provided through electronic-money or partner arrangements.

Multi-currency exchange, explained

Holding a supported currency can help you separate your travel budget from your everyday balance. Before converting, review the in-app exchange quote, any applicable fee and the resulting amount. Plan allowances, transaction size, timing and currency availability may affect the price.

When a merchant or ATM offers to charge you in your home currency, it may be providing dynamic currency conversion at its own rate. Compare the quote rather than assuming convenience means better value. Selecting the local currency usually leaves conversion to your card provider; the best choice still depends on the actual offers.

Virtual cards and travel benefits

A virtual card can be useful for online purchases and compatible digital wallets. A physical card remains useful where a merchant, hotel or ATM requires one. Do not assume a virtual or disposable card is accepted for every deposit, recurring charge or cash withdrawal.

Travel-related benefits on paid plans may include services governed by separate conditions. Check exclusions, geographic scope, subscription costs, cancellation rules and whether you must pay for the trip using the account. A benefit is only useful if your circumstances qualify.

What can it cost?

Cost category What to verify
Subscription Standard and paid plan availability in your market; billing and cancellation terms
Currency exchange Your allowance, any additional charge, timing rules and the displayed rate
Cash withdrawals Free allowance if offered, excess charges and independent ATM operator surcharges
Cards Issue, delivery, replacement and optional design charges
Transfers Destination, currency, transfer method and intermediary charges

We intentionally do not publish a single universal fee. Your country-specific schedule and transaction preview are the source of truth. A zero subscription fee is not the same as all services being free.

Eligibility and getting started

  1. Check whether Revolut supports your country of residence and whether you meet the minimum age and account requirements.
  2. Request an invitation using the email button on this page. We will share an active link if one is available.
  3. Read that invitation’s current terms before creating an account. Referral campaigns may be limited to genuinely new customers.
  4. Apply on the official Revolut website or app and complete its identity verification. Never email identity documents or account credentials to DreamReferral.
  5. If participating in a referral campaign, complete only the qualifying actions specified by the provider within its deadline. Check any card delivery or purchase costs first.

Know the limits before you go

Carry an alternative payment method and keep emergency funds accessible. App outages, fraud checks and card acceptance limits can interrupt access. We cannot approve accounts, override verification or resolve provider disputes.

Frequently asked questions

Is Revolut Personal free to use?+

A Standard plan with no monthly subscription is available in some markets, but specific services can still carry fees. Card delivery, currency exchange outside allowances, transfers and ATM withdrawals may cost extra. Check your country-specific fee schedule.

Will I receive a referral bonus?+

Not necessarily. Some campaigns reward only the inviter. An invitation specifies eligible users, deadlines, qualifying actions and any recipient benefit. Never assume a reward not explicitly stated in your invitation.

Is my money protected in the same way everywhere?+

No. The legal entity serving you and the product you use determine whether deposit insurance, safeguarding or another protection applies. Review your personal account terms and local protection information.
